Getting ready for the adventure

We worked with Wavetech - Serviços Náuticos LDA. for the preparation of the boat :

- changing and tunning the rig, thanks to the professional collaboration of Mister Jorge Vozone,

- maintenance of our Yanmar engine, 4 horsepower Onan generator and dessalator Duo60 watermaker,

- wonderful and well made polish and hull paint.

- and a long list of maintenance items.

Welcome to our blog - Faraway Crossing the Atlantic

The goal of this blog is to encourage our friends and family to see where Faraway is cruising by crossing the Atlantic. The first part of our journey is gonna be the preparation of the boat like you can see in the films and the photographs. Then we are going to travel from Cascais to Las Palmas. We’re going tell you how easy or how difficult is the navigation. Our intention is to reach Santa Lucia in perfect condition. We want to spend a very good time and share it with you. We are going to be 4 or 5 on board. It’s a dream for everyone who is coming with us. It’s a challenge because we’re going to the unknown. We are very enthusiastic and prepared physically and mentally.
